
The Herington Municipal Hospital Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that Isabel Schmedemann, BSN, MBA will be joining Herington Municipal Hospital as the Chief Executive Officer on May 7th, 2018. Ms. Schmedemann, most recently the Chief Executive Officer of a hospital in Fulton, Missouri, is an accomplished executive healthcare leader with over 30 years of healthcare experience.
She is a graduate of Junction City High School and began her career in healthcare as an Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) after graduating from Manhattan Area Vocational-Technical School, then continued her education with a Associates Degree (RN) in Nursing from Barton County Community College, a Bachelors of Business Administration from Baker University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Kansas School of Nursing and a Master in Business Administration from Baker University.
She is a past Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and past member of the American College of Nurse Executives and is a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Rotary International.
Both she and her husband Ralph have roots in the area, and look forward to returning to our area to be closer to family. Ms. Schmedemann and her husband will be relocating to the Herington Community in the coming weeks.
