Prior Authorization/Centralized Scheduler (Full Time – remote)

Job Summary:

The Scheduling Clerk will be the healthcare access representative to patients and/or providers utilizing positive public relations skills when scheduling patient visits or procedures. This position will pre-register patients, schedule appointments using the applicable program, and verify medical necessity. Responsible to handle all aspects of the scheduling encounter, assisting healthcare professionals or patients to experience the ideal patient encounter with friendly, courteous assistance and high level of professionalism. This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of patient information and test orders, while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.

Qualifications/Skills Required:

  • Vocational/Technical education required.
  • Medical Assistant Certification required.
  • Minimum of (1) year medical front office experience, preferably within an acute healthcare system required.

 

Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA)

Herington Hospital, Inc is seeking a full time Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) for our Critical Access Hospital and Rural Health Clinic with a current licensure in the State of Kansas.  Candidate should have previous experience in a Rural Health Clinic (RHC) and in the emergency room department (ED).  We offer competitive salary and benefits.

RN Charge Nurse – Day Shift

Do you have the desire to utilize your entire Nursing skillset daily allowing you to have experience not only with Medical Surgical, but Emergency Room as well? Herington Hospital is seeking full time day shift Charge Registered Nurses to join our team! Applicant must have a current license in the State of Kansas and BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (ability to obtain certifications in house). Candidate must be patient oriented, exhibit great attention to detail, be a team player, and have the ability to adapt to changes in day to day duties.

Radiologic Technologist – Multi-Modality

We are growing and staffing needs are growing with us! Seeking a full time Radiologic Technologist with the ability to perform multi-modalities.  This role would work at multiple locations with rotating evening and weekend call coverage at our hospital in Herington.  Applicant must be ARRT registered or registry eligible and have a valid Radiologic Technologist license in the State of Kansas.  We offer competitive salary and benefits! Speech Language Pathologist

We are looking for a self-motivated, compassionate, patient-focused SLP for our Critical Access Hospital; treating patients in acute, outpatient and swing bed environments. Work to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults.

  • Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Create, implement and adjust treatment plans to address the individualized needs of our diverse patient population.
  • Communicate patient progress to appropriate parties including patients, families, teachers and medical providers.
  • Provide training and education about speech disorders, causes and disabilities to family/caregivers and other professionals.
  • Work collaboratively with professionals from many other disciplines.
  • Reviews treatment plan, and if needed, modifies or writes new programs.
  • Maintains records as required by law and administrative regulations.
  • Must possess Master’s degree in Speech-language Pathology
  • Must be designated as a Licensed Speech Language Pathologist and eligible to practice in the state of Kansas.

Job Description: (includes)

  • Evaluates task performance skills, plans and implements programs designed to restore the outpatient, acute, and swing bed patients’ abilities.
  • Educates the patient and others regarding occupational therapy treatment procedures.
  • Documents patient treatment and progress for third party payers.
  • Provides consultation to physicians and others regarding appropriateness of referral to occupational therapy.
  • Provides direct supervision of support personnel and students.
  • Must be designated as a Licensed Occupational Therapist by the Kansas Board of Healing Arts.
