Referral Specialist

Seeking a full time Referral Specialist.  Job duties include but are not limited to; answering phones, scheduling appointments/procedures, coordinating provider and anesthesia schedules, working side by side with multiple departments to coordinate procedures, verify insurances, prior authorizations for procedures, filing, and other misc tasks as assigned.  Applicant should be highly organized, have the ability to multitask, work independently and prioritize tasks.  Previous experience in healthcare is preferred.  Competitive salary and benefits offered based on experience.

Speech Language Pathologist

We are looking for a self-motivated, compassionate, patient-focused SLP for our Critical Access Hospital; treating patients in acute, outpatient and swing bed environments. We offer a fulfilling work environment, compassionate staff, and excellent compensation and benefits. This is a PRN position that could move into full time.

  • Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Create, implement and adjust treatment plans to address the individualized needs of our diverse patient population.
  • Communicate patient progress to appropriate parties including patients, families, teachers and medical providers.
  • Provide training and education about speech disorders, causes and disabilities to family/caregivers and other professionals.
  • Work collaboratively with professionals from many other disciplines.
  • Reviews treatment plan, and if needed, modifies or writes new programs.
  • Maintains records as required by law and administrative regulations.
  • Must possess Master’s degree in Speech-language Pathology
  • Must be designated as a Licensed Speech Language Pathologist and eligible to practice in the state of Kansas.

Junction City Clinic Manager

Seeking a full time Clinic Manager for our Junction City Clinic. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: answering phones, scheduling appointments, registering patients, insurance verifications, in office prior authorizations, staff scheduling, implementing and overseeing workflow structure, excel knowledge, scanning, faxing, filing, and other duties as assigned. Applicant should possess strong communication skills, be a team player, self-starter, and have the ability to multi-task. Previous secretarial and management experience, preferably in healthcare.  Competitive salary and benefits offered based on experience.

Radiologic Technologist

We are growing and staffing needs are growing with us! Registered Nurse (RN)

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Herington Hospital has LPN positions available for those special nurses who want to be part of caring for a community. We offer an alternative shift to the routine 7-7. Our nurses work 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. or 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. giving them a preferred schedule that allows for improved satisfaction with family schedules. We also enjoy flexible patient volumes and acuity. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Herington Hospital is looking for caring and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team!  We are hiring full time for both day and night shifts on our acute floor.  If you are looking for a rewarding career, Herington Hospital welcomes you!   Requirements include a current license in the State of Kansas and BLS certification.

Cook / Culinary Artist

Do you have a passion for food?  Do you love to cook? Are you ready to put your creative touch to use?  If so, Herington Hospital wants you!!!  We are looking for talented, motivated people who love to cook for openings in our dietary department/kitchen.  Compensation is competitive and wages will be based on experience and talent.

Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Herington Hospital is seeking a full time Respiratory Therapist (RT).  Applicant must be certified or certification eligible by the National Board of Respiratory Therapy.  One to two years previous related experience is preferred and/or training; or equivalent combinations of education and experience.  BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.  NRP certification is preferred and TNCC is optional.  Job duties include but are not limited to: administering and routinely performing basic modalities of respiratory therapy for patients requiring non-critical care.  Initiating and performing specialized and advanced respiratory therapy services to critically ill patients under clinical guidance.  Coordinates all therapeutic, diagnostic and assessment related responsibilities performed within the respiratory care department, including pulmonary function services.  Applicant should be a team player and have the ability to multi-task.

 

IT Technician

Herington Hospital is seeking a full time IT Technician for our facility.  We offer a fulfilling work environment, compassionate staff, and competitive pay and benefits.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Creating and maintaining a help desk ticket system and ability to prioritize help desk tickets in order of importance.
  • Maintain and service computing environments for Herington Municipal Hospital by providing onsite hardware and software system support; identifying system improvements; upgrading, installing, and configuring systems; monitoring system performance, servicing and repairing network and workstation hardware and software issues.
  • Maintain a network security system.
  • Establish secure connections with outside contacts.
  • Educate staff on security.
  • Maintain credential databases.

Qualifications

  • Applicant should have at least 3 years of experience in the IT field
  • A degree in Computer Science is preferred.

Medical Technologist (MT)

Seeking a full time Certified Medical Technologist (MT) to work as a generalist in all areas including Chemistry, Hematology, & Coag in the lab.

Job responsibilities include: perform routine and STAT laboratory testing, instrument maintenance and trouble shooting, quality control testing and calibrations, specimen collection by venipuncture, finger stick or other method on all ages of patients. Weeknight and weekend call (rotation) is required. Applicant should be a strong team player and problem solver.

Family Medicine Physician

Herington Hospital is looking for compassionate, patient-focused Family Medicine Physician to join our growing team. We are a Critical Access Hospital offering outpatient, inpatient, ER, and a wide variety of procedures. We offer a fulfilling work environment, compassionate staff, and excellent compensation and benefits. This is a full-time position.

  • Ability to practice full-scope, patient-centered Family Medicine.

  • Outpatient clinic attached to 25-bed critical access hospital.

  • $250,000 base with $50,000 annual retention bonus.

Occupational Therapist (PRN)

Job Description: (includes)

  • Evaluates task performance skills, plans and implements programs designed to restore the outpatient, acute, and swing bed patients’ abilities.
  • Educates the patient and others regarding occupational therapy treatment procedures.
  • Documents patient treatment and progress for third party payers.
  • Provides consultation to physicians and others regarding appropriateness of referral to occupational therapy.
  • Provides direct supervision of support personnel and students.
  • Must be designated as a Licensed Occupational Therapist by the Kansas Board of Healing Arts.
